Beginning as a small shop in 1973, Stock Design moved to our current store in 1977. Formerly an old factory and abattoir, the history of the premises has lent an interesting, unusual layout to the shop that differentiates us in the Dublin retail landscape. Our location, on a pedestrian street in the heart of the city, has allowed us to adapt to Dublin’s changing needs, right up to the present day.
Our commitment to quality products and modern housewares trends has led us to being Ireland's first winner of the Global Innovation Award (gia) in International Housewares in 2014, with a second win in 2020 making us the only business in Ireland to have twice won this prestigious international award.
For more than forty-five years, Stock Design has led the way in independent homewares retailing in Dublin. Throughout that time, our Managing Director has sourced new and innovative products from around the world, and declares that he has never had a “boring day in retail!”
From cookware, tabletop products and sustainability-focused goods to soft furnishings and barware, it’s all here in a landmark premises drawing on its unique history as two separate industrial buildings.
Oozing charm and passion, it’s little wonder that the store has attracted three generations of loyal customers in search of the unique, the practical, the inspirational… or a mixture of all three!
