This Tagine has a solid cast iron base with a ceramic top. It has been designed to go either on the stove top or into an oven. Traditionally, Tagines are designed to keep the moisture and flavour in the dish whilst cooking - usually at a low temperature for a long period of time. The cast iron base retains and distributes heat allowing for an even cook.
The Tagine can get hot so it is important to always remember to wear oven gloves when removing it from the oven or lifting it off the hob.
